Samsung flagships get One UI 4.0 based on Android 12

Samsung has nevertheless released a test build of One UI 4.0 based on the Android 12 operating system for flagship

Galaxy S21 smartphones.

What is known?

Earlier this month, South Korean and Germanrepresentative offices announced the imminent release of a test build of software. The release was expected on September 9, but was postponed indefinitely for unknown reasons, and the company apologized.

September 14 Samsung officially announced the launchdistributing One UI 4.0 Beta to Android 12 for Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Initially, only US residents could take part in the testing, but a little later the company allowed users from China, South Korea, India, Germany, the United Kingdom and Poland.

To get One UI 4.0 Beta with Android 12, you need to register with Samsung Members. There are several points in the official changelog:

  • redesigned widgets;
  • convenient access to emoji;
  • animated stickers;
  • updated set of visual effects for recharging;
  • improved Samsung Health app;
  • advanced customization of the user interface.

The company separately notes the increased levelconfidentiality. The system will notify the user when one of the applications accesses the microphone or camera. At the same time, One UI 4.0 will make it possible to view the history of issuing permits for a day and a week.

Update for Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 + andThe Galaxy S21 Ultra will be sent out in waves. The size is almost 2.5 GB. The update also brings the September operating system security patch.
