The recently announced Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are not compatible with Gear VR, a virtual reality headset.
what
is known
Samsung never mentioned Gear VR duringUnpacked events and have not updated the headset since 2017. The last smartphones that supported the glasses were 4 Galaxy S10 models announced in February, but they only connected via an adapter. Gear VR is still in the Samsung store, but it seems that the device can no longer be bought there. On Amazon, glasses are still selling for $ 100.
I just got confirmation from @Samsung. No version of the # Note10 is compatible with the GearVR. Not a huge loss tbh. Standalone is where it’s at. #VR

Despite the company's decision, the life of Gear VR,perhaps not finished yet. The device is compatible with many old Samsung smartphones and is used to demonstrate virtual reality at some events, such as film festivals. Also, the gadget is still receiving application updates for new phone models. Perhaps in the future the company will release glasses for the Galaxy Note 10.
Recall that Samsung refused the 3.5 mm headphone jack in the Galaxy Note 10 and previously explained the reason for this decision.
