The recently announced Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are not compatible with Gear VR, a virtual reality headset.
What
Known
Samsung never mentioned Gear VR duringUnpacked events and hasn't updated the headset since 2017. The last smartphones that supported glasses were the 4 Galaxy S10 models announced in February, but they only connected via an adapter. The Gear VR is still available in the Samsung store, but it appears the device can no longer be purchased there. The glasses still sell for $100 on Amazon.
I just got confirmation from @Samsung. No version of the #Note10 is compatible with the GearVR. Not a huge loss tbh. Standalone is where it’s at. #VR

Despite the company's decision, the life of Gear VR,perhaps not finished yet. The device is compatible with many older Samsung smartphones and is used to demonstrate virtual reality at some events, such as film festivals. Also, the gadget still receives application updates for new phone models. Perhaps in the future the company will release glasses for the Galaxy Note 10.
Let us remember that Samsung abandoned the 3.5 mm headphone jack in the Galaxy Note 10 and previously explained the reason for this decision.
