Analytical agency Credit Suisse has released a report on the state of the global smartphone market. We have already told

However, the success of the Galaxy S22 series will be reduced to zero,if you remember that last year the production of old Galaxy Note models was still ongoing, and 3 million of them were produced. Where Samsung is really experiencing strong growth is in the foldable smartphone segment. Last year, the production of such devices amounted to 8 million devices, and this year it is planned to sell 15 million units. As before, two-thirds of the production of foldable smartphones will fall on flip-models, and only a third - on Fold. Sales of “Korean redmiks” Galaxy M are stable: 13 million were last year, 13 million are planned this year.
But the situation with the Galaxy A series is somewhatmore difficult. Samsung was counting on continued strong growth in sales of these smartphones, which reached 214 million units last year, up from 190 million in 2019. Back in the spring, the company planned to sell 275 million Galaxy A in a year! However, something happened, and now plans have been reduced to 212 million devices. Moreover, the main drop falls on older models: if last year the Galaxy A3x and above accounted for 33% of total sales, now it is only 28%. Sales of junior models remain stable; for example, the Galaxy A0x series accounts for 30% of all Galaxy A sales, more than all of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z combined.
