Samsung Galaxy S23 smartphones will receive support for shooting 8K video at 30 FPS

For the third year after the first appearance of 8K support in flagship smartphones, Samsung will add

ability to shoot video at a frame rate of 30 FPS.

What is known

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, released in 2020,became the company's first smartphone to receive 8K support. But the frame rate was capped at 24 FPS. Yes, the difference from 30 FPS is small, but you can easily notice it when watching a video.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S22 Ultra toosupport 8K UHD exclusively at 24 FPS. Everything will change in the next generation. Moreover, according to the insider Ice Universe, not only the Galaxy S23 Ultra, but also the standard edition of the Galaxy S23 with the Plus version will be able to shoot video in 8K UHD with a frame rate of 30 FPS. The Samsung Galaxy S20/S21/S22 and Plus variants are limited to 4K support.
