Samsung introduced the Galaxy A22 and Galaxy A22 5G: we talk about prices, specifications and how the new items differ

Samsung has announced two new budget A-series smartphones: Galaxy A22 and Galaxy A22 5G.

at first glance they are very similar, but in fact,they have many differences. So, the Galaxy A22 5G was equipped with a 6.6-inch IPS screen. It has FHD+ resolution, 90Hz frequency and a waterdrop notch for the 8MP front camera. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chip paired with 4/6/8 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of ROM. If desired, the storage can be expanded with a microSD memory card. The device also received a triple main camera without OIS support at 48 MP + 5 MP (wide) + 2 MP (depth sensor).

As for the regular Galaxy A22, it is, first of all,In total, it does not support the fifth generation network. In addition, the smartphone was equipped with a 6.4-inch screen with HD+ resolution and an AMOLED matrix at 90 Hz. The device also features a simpler MediaTek Helio G80 chip, the absence of a microSD slot, a 13-megapixel front camera and a main camera with four modules. The main sensor has a resolution of 48 MP and OIS support. It is complemented by an 8 MP wide-angle lens, a 2 MP depth sensor and a macro lens with the same resolution. Both the smartphones come with 5,000mAh batteries, 15W power banks and side-mounted fingerprint scanners. Whether the new products have NFC is unknown.

Price and when to wait

The Samsung Galaxy A22 5G will go on sale in Europe in July with a price tag starting at 230 euros. The company will announce a little later when it will hit the market and how much it will cost.
