Samsung introduced the Galaxy Tab S6: the pros and cons

Korean company Samsung will soon announce Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Fold. But until that happens,

the manufacturer gave us another unexpected surprise - the release of the new Galaxy Tab S6. For some unknown reason, the company missed the Tab S5 version and immediately announced the Tab S6.

Galaxy Tab S6

The Samsung Tab S line isHigh-end tablets, which are equipped with advanced equipment, plus support the S Pen stylus. The new Galaxy Tab S6 has several improvements, but at the same time there is one big drawback, which we describe below.

Design and display

Not only in smartphones, manufacturers strive tolarge screen with the most thin frames. The same goes for tablets. The Galaxy Tab S6 also had an ultra-wide display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. In Tab S6, this feature has not changed. The tablet has the same 10.5-inch AMOLED-display with a resolution of WQXGA (2560 x 1600).

However, Samsung has taken steps tobody reduction. Its framework is slightly smaller than its predecessor. But, remarkably, the Galaxy Tab S6 is extremely thin. Its thickness is 5.7 mm, which makes it thinner than the ultra-thin iPad Pro (2018). This is another challenge towards Apple!

S pen

The Stylus S Pen is also compatible with the Galaxy Tab S6, andhe got a little improvement. For example, it now connects via Bluetooth LE and gets all the functions of the Galaxy Note 9 remote control - a remote shutter for the camera and media playback control using a button. There is a new feature S Pen Air Actions, which, presumably, will allow you to control the tablet, gesturing with the stylus over it, no touch is required. Nevertheless, information about this new feature is still not enough.

Of course, to support Bluetooth S Pen you needbattery. On Note 9, the stylus is charged whenever it is connected to the phone. Since the Galaxy Tab S6 doesn’t have a slot, the S Pen supports wireless charging — either on a stand or using reverse-link PowerShare wireless charging.

Galaxy Tab S6 can enter DeX mode withoutneed to use an external monitor. In the end, the 10.5-inch screen is large enough to fit comfortably into the desktop interface. The keyboard, which is sold separately, has also been improved - it now has a special DeX key that instantly takes you out of DeX mode, as well as updated keys. In short, Tab S6 turns into a reliable replacement for a laptop when using it in DeX.

Of course, the latest version of the tablet from Samsung has received the most modern hardware. The camera also receives an update.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will appear in late August. It will be available in three colors: mountain gray, cool blue and pink blush. No prices announced yet.
