South Korean company Samsung Electronics has launched a new and largest chip production line. New

Despite the launch on September 7, the P3 line startedwork in the middle of summer. Samsung began trial production of NAND memory in July. The new facility uses ASML lithography machines. This is a Dutch company, which, in fact, is a monopolist in the market for equipment for extreme ultraviolet lithography.
A Samsung Electronics representative attendedat the ceremony and stressed that the company will try to use the crisis in semiconductor products for development. The manufacturer has five semiconductor manufacturing plants in South Korea, three in China and one in the United States. The company is also building a new plant in the US, in which it has invested $17 billion.
On the same campus where line P3 is located,the manufacturer has already begun construction of the P4 line. In late spring 2022, US President Joe Biden visited this plant. During his visit, the head of the White House emphasized the importance of partnership and chip production for the US and South Korea.
