Samsung releases emergency update for 500 million old smartphones

Several older Galaxy smartphones that are no longer officially supported were updated earlier this year

months, but this turned out to be just the beginning.Samsung is now rolling out a firmware update to fix the GPS issue for millions of other legacy Galaxy phones, including the Galaxy S5 Neo, Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy S6 series, and Galaxy A7 (2018).

Update for Galaxy S5 Neo released under the nameG903FXXU2BFG3. The update to the Galaxy S6 series is identified by the number G92xFXXU6EVG1. Galaxy Alpha users can look forward to the G850FXXU2CVH9 update. And for the Galaxy A7 (2018), firmware version A750FXXU5CVG1 has been released.
