Samsung transfers Galaxy S20 flagships from Exynos 990 to Snapdragon 865

Previously, there were rumors that Samsung will expand the geography of using Snapdragon chips along with the release

flagship Galaxy S20. Now this information is confirmed.

More Snapdragon, Less Exynos

Typically, Samsung releases two versions of the flagships: with Exynos proprietary chips and Snapdragon processors for some regions. But Exynos has many opponents who prefer Qualcomm chips. And the company seems to have listened to criticism.

An Ice Universe insider writes that in the home market - in South Korea, the flagships of the Galaxy S20 family will receive Snapdragon 865 processors, although usually Exynos is bundled in this country.

Also, three models appeared in the Geekbench benchmark.with the numbers SM-G981 (Galaxy S20), SM-G986 (Galaxy S20 +) and SM-G988 (Galaxy S20 Ultra). These are models for the USA and South Korea, and all with Snapdragon 865 “on board”.
