Samsung unveils Exynos 5300 5G modem with data transfer rates up to 10 Gbps

South Korean tech giant Samsung has unveiled a new 5G modem for mobile processors. He

called Exynos 5300.

What is known

The novelty can work in 5G cellular networks inmillimeter wave (mmWave) and up to 6 GHz (Sub-6GHz). The manufacturer claims that the maximum upload and download speeds are 3.87 Gb/s and 10 Gb/s, respectively.

The modem is made using 4nm Samsung technologyFoundry using deep ultraviolet (EUV) photolithography. The Exynos 5300 works on SA and NSA networks, and also supports 5G NR Release 16 and PCI Express interface. This allows you to optimize it to work with different processors.

Of course, Exynos 5300 operates in fourth-generation networks. In LTE, the data transfer rate is 3 Gb / s (reception) and 422 Mb / s (upload).

At the moment there is no official information aboutwhich smartphones will be equipped with Samsung's new modem. But if the rumors are to be believed, then the Exynos 5300 will appear in the Tensor 3 processor for the Google Pixel 8 flagships.
