The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones, which were released back in February 2016, have returned to the list of models that will regularly receive the latest firmware.
Of course, updates will not arrive monthly, but definitely every quarter. That is, owners of “oldies” can count on regular security patches and bug fixes.
But owners of flagships no younger than the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8, as well as the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A8 (2018) can count on monthly updates.
