Saudi Arabia signed a declaration of intent to join the fighter development program

Great Britain confirmed the fact of signingdeclaration, but this does not mean that Saudi Arabia immediately becomes a new member of the project. It will carry out a feasibility study of the partnership and will consider the possibility of cooperation in the future.

The Minister of Defense announced the signing of the declarationSaudi Arabia Khaled bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. According to him, comprehensive cooperation will strengthen Saudi Arabia's defense capabilities through joint production and development of future air systems.

At the moment it is difficult to determine the scaleSaudi Arabia partnership. This could be joint work on FCAS, as Sweden has done, or on the Tempest/Global Combat Air Program (GCAP) together with Italy and Japan.
