Scientists have recently discovered that reading stories aloud can help improve children's intelligence. And not
Experts conducting a new studyfound that even children aged 6-12 years become smarter if adults read aloud to them every day for an hour. Experiments were carried out in 32 Italian schools – among primary school students. A total of 626 children took part in these experiments.
The subjects were first divided into two groups. One of them the teacher read aloud fiction for 60 minutes every day, and the second continued to study as usual. This study lasted four months. The researchers assessed its results using the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-IV) and the Cognitive Assessment System Scale (CAS2).

It turned out that children who were read books showed a significant increase in intelligence scores. Moreover, this increase was noticeable in both tests.
