Scientifically proven: the brain can really be trained

A new study refutes the notion that children who showpoor academic results, never

American scientists, after conducting an experiment in secondary schools in the United States, found that students who are lagging behind have a chance.

Scientists at the University of California, Davisfound that adolescents who study poorly, with the timely intervention of teachers, can improve academic performance and develop their intelligence. The study involved high school students located in California and New York. The results of the work were published in the journal Psychological Science.

According to the experiment's findings, "interfering with the mindset" (i.e., the idea that the brain is a muscle that can be trained) and teaching teachers how to present the material in the classroom in the most effective way actually works.Teenagers began to receive grades on average 2 percent better after completing such a program after completing such a program.

A total of 2 people took part in this study.thousands of students in grades 6-7, 50 teachers from 12 schools. The experimental method was applied alternately in the lessons of mathematics, English, natural sciences. The teachers taught three of the four Brain Science sessions, in which they helped students process information. For example, they could find out from schoolchildren in which subjects they are lagging behind, and then work with them to develop a plan for the most effective study of these subjects.
