Harvard professor Avi Loeb has published a book in which he proves that asteroid 1I/Oumuamua has
Naked Science gives a brief overview of the book.1I/Oumuamua is the first interstellar object discovered to pass through the Solar System. It was opened in 2017. According to Loeb, the version that this asteroid was created by aliens is the simplest and most likely. Scientists resort to Occam's razor, arguing that other explanations for the origin of 1I/'Oumuamua are too unlikely. This, for example, is the theory about the emergence of an asteroid in an interstellar cloud of hydrogen.
Loeb says it's likely 1I/Oumuamua issomething like a research probe. The scientist suggests that this is a device with a solar sail. This could explain some of the asteroid's brightness features. The body is reported to be either highly elongated or flat. In addition, there is an anomaly in the asteroid's trajectory.
Loeb's book is called Extraterrestrial: The First Sign of Intelligent Life Beyond Earth.
