Manufactured by NGK Insulators. Special sensors are attached to the bottles during the bottling stage. During transportation, they transmit all the necessary information to a smartphone or computer.

The sensors themselves are like small stickers. They are powered by tiny NGK EnerCera lithium-ion batteries. These batteries are interesting in their own right: they are flexible thin plates that can be attached to uneven surfaces.

All this will allow manufacturers of expensive European wines to monitor the conditions in which drinks are transported.
