Scientists experiment confirmed: ordinary medical masks perfectly protect against coronavirus

A group of scientists from several countries examined scientific papers with the results of the evaluation of public measuresalong

decrease in the incidence of coronavirus.

A total of 72 studies with suchmeasures such as lockdown, quarantines of varying duration, closures of borders, jobs and schools. In 35 works, the effectiveness of individual measures was mainly considered, in 37 - the total result. But the inconsistency of the data did not allow us to come to concrete conclusions. For example, in the United States, school closures have been shown to reduce the incidence of covid by 62%, but in Japan the results have been unsatisfactory. And such "leaps" of results were in many countries.

As a result, the scientists settled on 8 studies withfixed results. The most effective non-vaccination measures were found to be wearing masks, washing hands, and social distancing.

Wearing masks and washing hands reduced the collective incidence of coronavirus by 53%, distancing had an effect by 25%.
