The system is able to warn drivers in timecars and public transport about hidden from them or sensors of their vehicles of other road users. For example, if a car equipped with this technology drives up to an intersection, it will receive data from other vehicles moving both in the same lane and in the opposite one, as well as from stations of intelligent transport systems that are equipped with laser sensors and cameras. The system is designed in such a way that if any vehicle detects another or a pedestrian, which can be hidden from the driver or the sensors of his car, an emergency display will be triggered showing the location of all “problem” road users. If the driver does not have time to react, the system activates the brakes for him.
To do this, the developers propose to equiptransport and road infrastructure with innovative communication modules both between vehicles (V2V) and between vehicles and infrastructure (V2I). According to the developers, this will multiply the traffic safety, almost completely removing all blind spots.
