Scientists have discovered the "Achilles heel" in males

Scientists have found that male dogs are four to five times more likely than female dogs to become infected with the nasal form of transmissible

venereal tumor of dogs. Discuss

This tumor usually affects the dog's genitals. Cases of damage to the mouth and nose are more rare. In appearance, the tumor often resembles a cauliflower.

As it turned out, lesions of the mouth and nose are stillmore common in males. Researchers believe this is due to behavioral differences: males spend more time sniffing and licking the females' genitals.

In the study, the researchers looked at a database of nearly 2,000 cases from around the world and found that only 32 tumors affected the nose or mouth. Of these, 27 cases were in males.
