Scientists have found a new way to predict the eruptions of dangerous and active volcanoes

According to University of California volcanologist and Dr. Teresa Ubide, scientists previously believed that

cooled lava from volcanoes in hot spots was previously magma that was in the mantle, below the Earth's surface. But this is not entirely true, the doctor adds. 

The structure of volcanoes is more complex than scientists imagined. Volcanoes filter their contents, and as a result, a completely different substance appears on the surface. 

Due to the complex system of the volcano, the minerals in the magma crystallize. Rising magma recycles these minerals and changes their overall chemistry.

The authors found that volcanoes in hot spots filter their melts at the base of the crust, in which case a powerful eruption occurs. 

If you carefully monitor volcanoes andBy monitoring whether magma reaches the base of the earth's crust, an eruption can be predicted. The results of the work confirm that if magma is located at the boundary of the crust and mantle, then an eruption should occur in the near future.
