Scientists have found a possible ancestor of a supermassive black hole: this has not been seen before

Astronomers studying the object named it GNz7q. They believe that this is the ancestor of a supermassive black hole, so

how GNz7q appeared just 750 million years after the Big Bang occurred that gave birth to our Universe.

GNz7q connects two rare types of celestial objects - stellar dust bursts and glowing quasars. The team also found data about the object in the archives of the Hubble telescope.

Typically, new discoveries are made on the basis of such archival data, which are studied using the latest methods and models. But GNz7q continues to be studied, since not everything is clear about its structure.

GNz7q is a unique object that astronomersfound right in the center of a known, well-studied region, said Gabriel Brummer, co-author of the new study and an astronomer at the Niels Bohr Institute in the US.

GNz7q is located in the region of intensestar formation, in a galaxy that forms stars about 1,600 times faster than our own galaxy, the Milky Way. When these stars form, they create cosmic dust that causes the galaxy to glow in infrared light—so bright that astronomers know of no other objects like it.

Researchers believe that GNz7q isa transitional phase that has not been observed before. They believe that studying such an object will help to learn more about how supermassive black holes evolve.
