It is noted that doubloons meanhypothetical quasiparticles in the form of a pair of photons. They are subject to a kind of analogue of repulsive forces, which causes electrons and other charged particles to move away from each other.
The authors emphasize that from this form of doubloons it is possible to create classical light computers, as well as new types of qubits.
During the work, the authors set up links betweenmemory cells of the quantum simulator in such a way that doubloons were to appear inside them. The researchers then tried to detect them inside the simulator and study their properties in a real quantum system.
As a result, the authors found out that doubloons canarise in such a way that they can be used to create topological quantum computers and implement other tasks related to the creation of new generations of computing devices.
