Scientists from Tel Aviv and Bar Ilan Universities in Israel discovered the influence of a specific protein on the mechanisms
This protein is responsible for the restoration of bonds inDNA chains and "correction" of errors caused by the duration and quality of wakefulness, oxidative stress, ultraviolet light, enzymatic errors and other aggressive factors.
Scientists conducted research based on methodsoptogenetics, radiation and pharmacological drugs. The first experiments were carried out on zebrafish, which, like mammals, need sleep to recuperate. A connection was found between sleep and the PARP1 protein - if the expression of the protein was stimulated, a signal was sent to the brain about the need for sleep; if the protein was blocked, the fish could not sleep.
The minimum sleep time for DNA and strength restoration was also determined - 6 hours.
