Scientists have found another planet suitable for life at the nearest star to the Sun

An article was published in the popular scientific publication Science Advances, which talks about a fresh study

astronomers. As part of the observations, the authors of the scientific work were able to discover the existence of a second exoplanet near the star closest to the Sun - Proxima Centauri.

So, the latest research shows thatthis star is quite capable of possessing a second exoplanet, which would move around it. The mass of this celestial body, according to the cosmological model of scientists, is about six times more than that of our planet Earth. Due to this, it can be entered in the so-called class of super-earths.

Recall that back in 2016, scientists alreadyfound one planet that could be considered habitable, circling around Proxima Centauri. Then the found celestial body was called Proxima b, and the distance to it, at the moment of closest approach to the Sun, is “only” 4 light years.
