The robot consists of individual segments that allow it to cling to the ground and even overcome obstacles by climbing up the hill. You can see the wheel in action in the video below:
The robot consists of separate motors, whichjoined together to form a round structure. In this case, each module is connected to plastic handles with a rubber band, located in such a way as to generate the opposite torque. The thrust of the individual motors generates circular vibrations that cause the wheel to stretch and expand in a way that allows it to roll uphill.
It is not yet clear where such a wheel could be applied in practice.
