Experts from McMaster University have found another way to protect the human body from coronavirus.
Canadian scientists from McMaster Universitywere able to change red blood cells in such a way that they began to activate the immune system to protect against covid. Using this method, it will also be possible to deliver a vaccine to the body. The new approach has been published in PLOS ONE.
The researchers removed everything that was inside the red blood cells, and on the outside of these cells they placed spike proteins to mimic the coronavirus.

After such altered cells enter thebody, they cause the immune system to activate and start producing antibodies. This was found out in the course of experiments on mice. In addition, the new method, according to experts, may cause few side effects compared to other vaccination options.
