- regular exercise (≥150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or ≥75 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise per week);
- active social contacts - attending parties, meeting with friends or relatives, traveling and communicating on the Internet (≥twice a week);

- no smoking and alcohol.
All participants in the experiment were divided into three groups:
- favorable (people adhered to four to six factors of a healthy lifestyle),
- average (from two to three factors),
- unfavorable (from zero to one factor).
The results of the study showed thatOver the course of 10 years, participants from the favorable group’s memory deteriorated much more slowly compared to participants from groups with an average or unfavorable lifestyle.
For those who lead a favorable lifestyle,Those in the disadvantaged group are 90% less likely to develop dementia. Those in the middle group are 30% less likely to develop dementia. Scientists have concluded that it is possible to improve cognitive function by adding more healthy habits to your lifestyle.
