Scientists predicted the impact of nuclear war on Earth

Scientists from Rutgers University in the USA predicted the consequences of a nuclear war on the Earth's climate.

Most of all, according to their calculations, the equatorial part of the Pacific Ocean will suffer.

The researchers simulated six combat scenarios. Among them were options for the development of events at the outbreak of a nuclear war between the United States and Russia and the conflict between India and Pakistan.

Large-scale fires will occur due to the use of nuclear weapons. As a result, millions of tons of soot will fall into the upper layers. This will block sunlight.

As a result, a nuclear Niño could occur, which will lead to no rainfall between the Indian and Pacific oceans.

In addition, the rise of deep cold waters will stop along the equator in the Pacific Ocean. This will disrupt the ecosystem. Scientists suggest that the population of algae will decrease and fish catch will decrease.
