Scientists talked about the extreme warming of Siberia

Researchers say the most dramatic climate changes over the past half century have occurred in

Eurasian Arctic and Siberia. The north of the latter has warmed extremely over 50 years - by almost four degrees Celsius.

In a scientific article authored by 16scientists from research centers in Russia, Norway, Great Britain, Finland and other countries, analyzed data from several dozen stations in Siberia and the Arctic.

According to one of the authors of the article, in Siberia andIn the subarctic, climate change is affected not only by global processes, but also by migration, industrialization and urbanization. All this increases the frequency of extreme events that were previously uncharacteristic of these regions. For example, tornadoes began to be recorded in Siberia.

Reindeer herders also notice climate change: they have already noted the late establishment of snow cover, which leads to a deterioration of the food supply. Scientists believe that it is necessary to develop a mechanism for adapting humanity to global warming.
