Security camera maker fired employees for spying on users

Ring, a manufacturer of video surveillance devices including smart calls, has laid off several

employees for viewing videos from users' cameras.

This is not the first scandal with Ring.Earlier, US residents filed a class action lawsuit against the company, which, by the way, is owned by Amazon. The reason for the trial was the hacking of a surveillance camera by an attacker who tried to harass the children of one of the plaintiffs.

Now Ring has had to fire at least four employees for abuse. They reportedly looked at user records over the past four years.

The company also restricted access to data forother employees. What information about users the dismissed employees were looking for, and how many employees in general were able to exceed their authority, are not reported.
