According to the firm, the refueling process remainsunchanged over the past 70 years. “During the same period, technology has advanced faster than ever, and today we have fast internet, smart phones, AI assistants and self-driving cars that will soon be on the roads,” their website says.

Robotic fueling is a growing business, with the European market alone expected to grow to around $50 billion by 2028, according to British analytics firm Insight.

The system requires users to registervehicle details such as model, fuel type, payment details, and license plate. Cars will also require the installation of a special gas tank cap, which facilitates the process of opening and refueling.

Instructions fordriver to park the vehicle at a designated location for refueling. Once in place, the robotic arm will open the fuel tank cap and place the dispenser into the fuel tank. The customer will be aware of the refueling process and will see a message on the screen when the robot completes the process. The driver can leave as soon as the light turns green after the robotic arm closes the vehicle's fuel filler door.
