Galaxy NGC 1385 is a member of the NGC 1395 group of galaxies. In addition to NGC 1385, the group also includes 32 more galaxies.
The photo shows a spiral galaxy withjumper. The spiral arms of such objects begin at the ends of the bar, whereas in ordinary spiral galaxies they extend directly from the core.
The picture literally shows the cosmic vortex, which is decorated with stars.
