See the first flight of an unusual flying taxi

Chinese eVTOL startup Pantuo Aviation last year unveiled the Pantala Concept H, a concept unusual

a flying taxi with an air duct.

While the lack of specifications and the factthat there was no prototype led to speculation in some circles that Pantuo Aviation might have nothing to show but impressive renderings.

Now, after a year of hard work, Pantuo Aviation has dispelled those suspicions by releasing a video of the T1, a demonstrator of Pantala Concept H technology at work on a scale-down scale.

The T1 is a 1/2 scale demonstrator of the Concept H that Pantuo Aviation announced last year would fly at speeds of more than 300 km/h.At the same time, its flight range will be 250 km. Full-scale all-electric aircraftIt will use lithium-ion batteries and will be equipped with 22 large-diameter electric duct fans rather than open rotors.

As stated by Pantuo Aviation, the main goal for the T1 is to test the possibility of a tandem layout and an airwater wing with a distributed propulsion configuration. "Through the development of the T1, we have also created advanced interdisciplinary simulation capabilities and validated the critical aerodynamics of the concept, the electrical propulsion system and the flight control design," the company explained in a statement.
