See the spiral galaxy from a different perspective

The spiral galaxy in the photo is located in the constellation Virgo, approximately 150 million light years from Earth.

Note that spiral galaxies are the most common type of galaxies in the Universe, but each is unique and has a unique shape.

The galaxy NGC 5037 in the photo is captured from an unusual angle: it is shown edge-on, tilted towards the observer from Earth.

The image shows a bright central part and spiral arms. The latter are gigantic star-forming regions.

The object was filmed on the Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) aboard the Hubble Observatory.
