See what the first Starliner-ISS docking looked like from the station

The Starliner capsule, carrying only a test dummy, was seen for the first time tonight

docked with the International Space Stationstation (ISS). This is the second space flight of Boeing's new spacecraft. During a previous attempt, CST-100 Starliner was unable to dock with the ISS and returned to Earth on December 22, 2019.

This time Starliner launched on a United rocketLaunch Alliance Atlas V at 01:54 UTC May 20 from Spaceport 41 at Cape Canaveral in Florida. The uncrewed spacecraft successfully docked with the space station's Harmony module a day later at 3:28 Moscow time on May 21.

"Welcome, Starliner!“Astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti of the European Space Agency, who arrived at the ISS in April on the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, wrote on Twitter. She accompanied her post with photographs taken from the space station.

A video of the docking process was published by NASA representatives.
