Several large asteroids will fly near Earth in the next two weeks

Asteroid 2004 UE has a length of 381 m. It is expected that on November 13 it will pass at a distance of about 4 million km from Earth.

one asteroid, which was named 1996 VB3,will fly near our planet on October 20. Its length is about 210 m. NASA also noticed asteroid 2017 SJ20 measuring 182 m. It will fly near the Earth on October 25.

Experts are confident that there is no need to fear these events. Asteroids will pass relatively close to Earth, but not close enough to pose a threat.

The center has discovered and tracked over 27 thousand.objects approaching the Earth. Most of them are from 300 to 600 m in size, but there are also more massive ones. Many asteroids that pass close to Earth are tiny and burn up when they enter the planet's atmosphere. According to Paul Chodas, director of the Center for Near Object Research (CNEOS) at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California, the chances of a massive asteroid hitting the planet are extremely small.

NASA has previously reported another massive asteroid. Its size was compared to the pyramids of Giza (136.4 m). On October 15, it passed near the Earth at a distance of 5.6 million km.
