Shield AI conducted a test flight of the V-BAT unmanned aerial vehicle.

What is known

V-BAT

is a futuristic drone designed asunmanned aircraft system with vertical take-off and landing. A special feature of the device is that it can take off and land like SpaceX rockets by using a single duct fan with a thrust vector.

UAV can carry radars with synthesizedequipment or means of electronic warfare, depending on the task being performed. The carrying capacity of the unmanned aerial vehicle is characterized as sufficient.

Shield AI as part of the latest test launchedV-BAT from the Zumwalt-class stealth destroyer USS Michael Monsoor (DDG 1001). The company plans to place a swarm of drones on every US and allied destroyer, aircraft carrier, amphibious and patrol ship.
