Shows the work of "virtual windshield" for cars

This is McLaren's technology for the Elva supercar.

Everything works due to the special aerodynamics of the body.

The Elva supercar is completely devoid of cabin glazing. There is no windshield or side glass. To solve the problem of air flow while driving, the AAMS system was developed.

It includes many movableaerodynamic elements in the front part of the body. They can also operate at speeds of 90 km/h. The system redirects air flows so that they flow around the passenger seats and do not enter the cabin. All this creates a kind of “virtual”, invisible glass.

If the driver and passengers want, the "virtual" glazing can be turned off. But, if it is turned on, a comfortable trip is provided.
