Škoda to release an app for detecting car breakdowns by sound

Škoda is working on a new smartphone application, Sound Analyzer. The program uses machine algorithms

training to determine the type of breakdown in a car by sound.

The app records the noises it makescar while driving. The program then compares the recordings with the sounds it has in its database. If the application detects any inconsistencies, algorithms are activated to try to determine the cause.

Sound Analyzer can quickly assess the current condition of various vehicle parts and alert technicians when maintenance is required. Thanks to this, diagnosis becomes more accurate.

The program is capable of recognizing ten sound patterns with an accuracy of over 90%. This concerns problems with the steering systems, the A / C compressor and the clutch in the DSG gearbox.
