Slack now runs 33% faster and consumes less memory.

The developers of the corporate messenger Slack have rebuilt the Windows and macOS versions of the application. The update should

significantly improve productivity.

Maximum compatibility

According to the Slack team, the speed increaseshould be approximately 33%. Indeed, the application opens much faster, both in the web and desktop versions. Rebuilding the base code should reduce RAM consumption by up to 50%. Slack no longer creates a separate copy of the app for each workspace, which also improves performance.

Separately, the developers worked on offlineregime. Now the messenger will show cached content even if the user is not connected to the network. The Slack team took two years to complete the update.
