Slovakia is ready to transfer MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine

The government of Slovakia is ready to transfer Soviet fighters to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

We are talking about MiG-29 aircraft.The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia spoke about this in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine. According to the minister, Slovakia is currently negotiating with NATO partners on how best to do this. Unfortunately, there are no delivery dates for the fighters yet.

For those who are not in the know

MiG-29 is a multi-role Soviet fighterfourth generation. It was the main multi-role fighter of the Warsaw Pact countries and the USSR during the 80s of the XX century. Now the MiG-29 is in service with many countries around the world, including Ukraine. It has more than 15 modifications. By the way, Slovakia is armed with 11 aircraft: 9 MiG-29AS and 2 MiG-29UBS.
