Looks like LG has decided to start a real revolutionin the smartphone market and at the same time regain its former glory. According to company representatives, recently smartphones can be distinguished from each other both externally and by technical characteristics, and it is difficult to argue with this.

But the new LG design is really fresha breath of air: symmetrical curves on the display and on the back panel, an unusual Raindrop camera with modules in the form of raindrops. And the first smartphone with this design will be the LG Velvet.

As the company explained, the "velvet" name is intended to evoke images of lustrous smoothness and premium softness, two key characteristics of the new phone.

The new product also marks the transition to LG's new naming: the names will no longer contain numbers or letters - only special names that characterize the device.

“Our new branding reflects moderntrends of addressing a person's unique personal tastes and emotions with a greater emphasis on design,” said Chang Ma, senior vice president of product strategy at LG Mobile Communications. “It’s a more intuitive approach that we’re confident will resonate with today’s consumers and help us create a clearer brand identity.”

Let us remember that at the beginning of the year, the head of the company stated that 2021 would be a turning point, and promised a real revolution in the smartphone market.
