Smartphones line Samsung Galaxy A in 2020 will receive cameras with a resolution of up to 108 megapixels

Next year, Samsung is preparing new smartphones from the popular Galaxy A line. And insiders have already obtained

detailed information about which cameras will receive new items.

What to expect

Firstly, in 2020 the numbering of smartphones will change: now a unit will be added to the end of the name. For example, not A20, A30, etc., but A21, A31.

Secondly, the manufacturer will thoroughly work on the cameras: there will be at least three of them, and four for older models.

The basic design consists of three camera modules: the main one, the additional one (with a wide-angle lens) and the auxiliary one (for depth analysis). The Galaxy A21, A31 and A41 will have such cameras.

The “middle” ones will also have a fourth module with a resolution of 10 or 12 megapixels with a telephoto lens and 2x optical zoom. Galaxy A51 and A61 will have such cameras.

For Galaxy A71, A81 and A91, the fourth module will be replacedon a ToF camera. In addition, the resolution of the main sensor will increase: 48 MP in the Galaxy A71, 64 MP in the Galaxy A81 and 108 MP in the Galaxy A91. That is, the 108-megapixel ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor, which debuted this week, will be featured on the Samsung Galaxy A91.

In addition, the two older models for the first time for this line will receive a five-time telephoto lens.
