Apparently, something similar happened inthis time. So, our colleagues from About Chromebooks found a new feature in the mobile version of Google Chrome called Quick intensive timer throttling of loaded background pages.

Its essence lies in the fact that when it is activatedthe browser manages open tabs in a special way, preventing them from eating up large chunks of processor and RAM resources. The function is based on the power saving mode, which, however, does not turn on 10 minutes after Chrome is minimized, but after 10 seconds.

According to experts, thanks to thisthe app saves about 10% CPU usage when using overloaded JavaScript sites. They also said that thanks to the work of the new function, computers and smartphones will live on a single charge much longer than before.
