Rakuten Viber has announced a partnership with Snap, the developer of the Snapchat app.

Rakuten Viber partners with Snap to add AR lenses to Viber

Thanks to the partnership between Rakuten Viber and SnapLenses for video messages and photos will appear in Viber. WWF, FC Barcelona and the World Health Organization will be among the first organizations to have branded lenses in the app.

SAN FRANCISCO, June 30, 2021 - Rakuten Viber,world leader in messaging and voice communications, adds augmented reality (AR) lenses to Viber through partnership with Snap Inc. With Snap tools like the Camera Kit, Creative Kit and Bitmoji, Viber will bring AR lenses that can be distributed on Snapchat as well. Viber will also add Bitmoji avatars that can be customized.

Viber Snap Lenses Will Be Opened For The First TimeViber users video messages and photos with AR (Augmented Reality) support. The launch includes 30 new Viber lenses, including various animal masks, Viber characters, the Underwater World lens, fun interactions with cats and more. The company plans to add at least 300 new lenses (masks and filters) by the end of the year.

Companies will also be able to create their ownexclusive lenses on Viber.
