Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 reveals Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra camera secret?

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset has been announced, which will be in the vast majority of Android flagships in 2023. This year

The presentation was marked by one interesting nuance. In a press release highlighting the merits of the new hardware platform, Qualcomm mentioned a specific camera sensor that was specifically optimized to work with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This is the 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP3, which was introduced at the end of June, while in commercial devices it not noticed yet (HP1 takes the rap for everyone). The American manufacturer promises “professional quality of photos and videos” and full compliance with the new Cognitive ISP image processing chip with neural networks and all that. Sony's four-channel HDR technology was also noted, but specific sensors were not named.

Previously, specialists in leaks related toSamsung mentioned that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will receive the HP2 sensor, which was not announced today, however, taking into account the fact that Qualcomm directly mentioned the HP3, this may be the final version, and even with marketing support from Qualcomm included. Moreover, leaks connect most of the Koreans' competitors with 1″ Sony IMX989, and only Samsung is preparing 200 MP in the premium class. The presentation of the Galaxy S23 series is expected in January-February.
