Surely some fans will be interested in the mentionabout the new combat system. In the original Crisis Core, combat was weird, with a fan wiki describing combat as "a constant stream of fast moves that give the illusion of real-time action." In addition, the mechanics of Digital Mind Wave worked in the battle - roughly speaking, a one-armed bandit, where slots are constantly spinning and various bonuses drop out, from temporary boosts to level up.
Among fans of the series there is an opinion thatthe combat system of Crisis Core (paired with other unpleasant features such as random encounters with opponents) turned out to be so-so. Details on the new system have not been revealed, but screenshots of the remake show that Digital Mind Wave is still in use.
Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion releases this winter on PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.
