Sony has patented a new feature that will provide help from “experts” if you get stuck while playing a game

In the gaming world, patents often reflect potential ideas that companies are considering, but they are not always

receive a positive reaction from players, andthey are eventually abandoned. But sometimes patents also bring to light some ideas that really spark interest – for example, a new patent filed by Sony.

What is known

This patent describes a method of gaming assistance inreal-time, which will allow players to seek advice from “experts” if they get stuck in the game. According to the patent description, if a player needs help, this method will connect him to "experts" who will help him progress further. And if experts are not available, videos from the game will be shown.

The main idea is to providebetter integration of searching for help and explanations during the game, without having to leave the game to find them. Sony has already implemented similar ideas, such as the Game Help mechanic for the PlayStation 5, so it would be interesting to see a more polished version of this feature.

Of course, as always with patents, this does not meanthat Sony will definitely implement these new features in the future – she could file a patent "just in case" to legally protect this idea in the future.
