Sony collects money for a portable air conditioner

Sony has announced the Reon Pocket, a small cooling device that fits into a special T-shirt in

as a portable air conditioner.

How it works

The gadget is placed at the base of the neck andcan lower the temperature by 13° or increase it by 8° without any interference or noise. Temperatures are controlled manually using a mobile app, but Sony is looking to add an automatic mode in future updates. The device will last up to 24 hours on a single charge and charges in two hours via USB-C.

The Reon Pocket is set to go on sale in March 2020 and will only be available in Japan initially. It is currently listed on Sony's crowdfunding service for around $117.
