Sony introduced IMX858: a 50-megapixel sensor for three cameras Xiaomi 13 Ultra

Xiaomi has confirmed what we have known since the beginning of the year: Xiaomi 13 Ultra is equipped with the latest Sony IMX858 sensor.

which will be presented in three copies(shirik, telephoto, periscope) and will become a companion to the main 1″ IMX989 with variable aperture. Meanwhile, Sony has added the IMX858 sensor to the official website, confirming its key parameters there.

Its small size (1/2.51″) and a resolution of 50 megapixels puts it almost on a par with the familiar budget sensor Samsung JN1 (1/2.76″). The new product implements new HDR algorithms (see photo below) and All-Pixel AF technology, in which each individual pixel acts as a focusing point, which improves the speed and accuracy of autofocus. We will find out how well the IMX858 will perform in practice after the announcement of Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which will take place on April 18.
